Lucknow University has revised the dates of the examinations scheduled to be conducted on January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The subjects impacted by this decision includes chemistry, physics, software development and biochemistry, among others. The revised schedule has also been released on the official website of the university.
“We have announced new dates for the examinations scheduled on January 22 after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a holiday in all academic institutions across the state on the day,” said LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Government of Uttar Pradesh declared a holiday for all academic institutions in the state on the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple.
The inauguration of the new idol of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, known as the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, is set to take place on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officiate the ceremony. On December 30, PM Modi urged individuals to illuminate a ‘Shri Ram Jyoti’ in their households and observe Deepavali on January 22, commemorating the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The Pran Pratishtha will be conducted during the Abhijeet Muhurat, precisely from 12:20 PM to 12:30 PM, a time regarded as highly auspicious for the installation of the Ram Lalla idol. Subsequent to the installation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally attend the Aarti dedicated to Lord Shri Ram.
In a separate development, on Wednesday, the Government of Goa announced a holiday for public servants and schools on January 22 in light of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony taking place in Ayodhya.
