Mittal informed the PM that he and LPU would be ever ready to play any role that the government felt was appropriate for the execution of the National Education Policy. Mittal and his wife Mrs Rashmi Mital presented a bouquet, and a Phulkari (Punjabi hand-woven shawl).
The LPU chancellor shared his views on the importance of promoting research and innovation in higher education and strengthening the industry-academia collaboration to drive economic growth and development. He also mentioned how LPU had been contributing to the national skill development mission by imparting industry-relevant education and training to its students. He further expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for his continued support of the education sector and also shared his appreciation for the government’s New Education Policy (NEP) initiative. On this occasion, Mittals were also accompanied by their son Pratham Mittal, daughter Srishti and son in law Sreshtha Khetan.
LPU claimed that Modi spent a considerable amount of time with the family, discussing various topics related to education and development.
