How to schedule messages on Google Messages

Scheduling messages on Google Messages is a handy feature that lets you send messages at a specific time, even if you’re not available then. Here’s how you can do it:
On Android:

  1. Open the Google Messages app.
  2. Start a new chat with the recipient or open an existing conversation.
  3. Compose your message as usual.
  4. Long press the send button (shaped like an arrow) to reveal additional options.
  5. Select “Schedule send” from the pop-up menu.
  6. Choose the date and time you want the message to be sent. You can also set a reminder for yourself at an earlier time.
  7. Tap “Done” to confirm the schedule.

On Web:

  1. Open the Google Messages website (messages.google.com).
  2. Sign in to your Google account.
  3. Start a new chat with the recipient or open an existing conversation.
  4. Compose your message as usual.
  5. Click the clock icon next to the send button.
  6. Choose the date and time you want the message to be sent. You can also set a reminder for yourself at an earlier time.
  7. Click “Schedule” to confirm the schedule.
