So, doing well in practical exams is an essential part to achieving your future goals. Here are 5 tried and tested tips you can use to score well in the upcoming practical exams.
Master the Concepts:
Rote memorization doesn’t cut it in CBSE Class 10 and 12 practical exams. While it’s fine to memorize a couple of experiments, it’s crucial for students to focus on understanding the underlying concepts. Trying to memorize the entire syllabus can lead to significant errors. Strive for clarity in the conceptual base of experiments, enhancing your ability to confidently perform them during the CBSE practical exam.
Perfect Your Diagrams:
Diagrams, much like math, improve with practice. Don’t stress about making them artistic; accuracy is key. Draw clean and correct figures, ensuring they represent all essential materials, procedures, and products. Examiners assess diagrams based on the information they convey, not artistic flair. Therefore, practice drawing neat diagrams with accurate details to excel in the CBSE practical exam.
Cover the Entire Syllabus:
To succeed in CBSE Class 10 and 12 practical exams, comprehensive syllabus coverage is essential. Viva questions can be short and tricky, but a thorough syllabus understanding makes answering them easier. Ensure you’re well-prepared for all aspects of the practical exam to secure better results.
Grasp the Procedure/Methodology:
Understanding the experiment’s procedure step-by-step is paramount for CBSE practical exams. This knowledge aids in confidently recalling and performing the experiment during the exam. Concentrate on comprehending the methodology rather than memorizing lengthy concepts.
Prioritise Writing Practice:
For both theory and practical exams, candidates often overlook the importance of writing practice. Balancing memorization with writing practice is crucial for time-based exams. Devote time to writing down complete procedures, observations, and drawing diagrams within the allotted time. Regular practice ensures you can complete your answers within the time limit, preventing mark deductions.
