Samsung may replace Exynos-powered Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon 865+ variant


NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung launched the Fan Edition of its Galaxy S20 smartphone. The company launched the smartphone with Exynos 990 chipset. Now a popular tipster revealed that the company is planning to stop the manufacturing of Exynos powered Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.
According to Ice Universe, Samsung is planning to release the Snapdragon 865+ version of the smartphone. The tipster further confirmed that the company will also stop the production of Exynos 990 powered Galaxy S20 FE.
Recently, an online leak revealed the mini-roadmap of upcoming launches from Samsung. The roadmap revealed that Samsung has scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked event for August 19. It was expected that the company might launch the FE variant for Samsung Galaxy S21. However, after this new leak, it is expected that the company might come up with the Snapdragon 865+ powered version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.
Last week, Samsung launched the 5G variant of Galaxy S20 FE smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 47,999, the smartphone comes in Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint and Cloud Navy colour options.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 8GB RAM. The smartphone packs 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by installing a microSD card.
The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI 3.1. The dual SIM smartphone comes with an IP68 rating which makes the handset dust and water-resistant.
The smartphone is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and it comes equipped with an optical fingerprint sensor.
