Taylor Swift made an appearance on Sunday Night Football to cheer on Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce in a game against the New York Jets.
Ahead of kickoff at MetLife Stadium, The Voice host Carson Daly made a taped appearance to explain football to Swifties tuning in to see Swift.
“We all know this is not just any Sunday Night Football game,” Daly said followed by all the news coverage over Swift and Kelce’s rumored romance.
Daly continued, “We got a call from our friends at NBC Sports asking us to put tonight’s story in language that the legions of Swifties would understand.”
The singing competition host went on to explain where each of the NFL teams stands in the league at this moment while making references to Swift’s hit songs. Some of the titles that Daly mentioned included “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” “Wildest Dreams” and ended with the perfectly titled “Welcome to New York.”
Swift’s appearance on Sunday Night Football was teased by NBC Sports earlier this week when they used the singer-songwriter’s “Welcome to New York” as the theme song for their promo.
This is the second week in a row that Swift makes an appearance at a Chiefs game. Last Sunday, Swift was seen cheering on Kelce and the Chiefs as they beat up the Chicago Bears. When Kelce scored a touchdown, Swift was engulfed in the excitement of the game and was seen shouting “Let’s f***ing go.”
Swift was not the only celebrity in attendance at the game. The superstar was also seen with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively in the stands.
