After a day-long tense situation outside former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s residence, the Lahore High Court has directed police to stop its operation at Zaman Park till 10 am on March 16, the Dawn reported. Soon after the court’s direction and withdrawal of personnel of law enforcement agencies, supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cheered and celebrated outside Imran Khan’s residence. Punjab Rangers had joined the police personnel near Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence on Wednesday in a fresh attempt at arresting the former Pakistan Prime Minister. Police and other security officials were seen leaving Zaman Park, prompting celebrations among Imran Khan’s supporters, who cheered “chasing the Rangers away”.
