Babar was going through a lean patch, having not been able to score a whole lot of runs in T20Is. However, he has well and truly found his mojo after his masterful knock against the Three Lions.

Pakistan found themselves under pressure after losing the opening T20I by five wickets in Karachi. But they made a stupendous comeback by winning the second game by 10 wickets to draw level in the seven-match series.

With Pakistan being asked to chase down 200 to win the match, Babar looked at ease right from the word go. He didn’t look fussed at any point of his knock. In the end, the 27-year-old stitched together an unbeaten 203-run stand for the opening wicket with Mohammad Rizwan.

Pakistan chased the target down with three balls to spare. Babar is also within touching distance of becoming the first Pakistan batter with 3000 runs in T20Is. On Thursday, nevertheless, the Lahore-born batter became the second batter from his country to score 8000 runs in T20s after Shoaib Malik.

Babar scored 31 runs in the first T20I before Adil Rashid castled him with a peach of a delivery. Babar and Rizwan also shared the highest partnership by a Pakistani pair for any wicket in T20Is.

Babar is currently the No.4 ranked batter in T20Is after he dropped four places because of his poor run of form in recent times.
