In a tragic incident, a model from Haryana’s music industry was allegedly murdered, and her body was thrown into a canal in Kharkhauda, Sonipat district. The police have confirmed the development. The deceased has been identified as Sheetal, also known as Simmy Chaudhry, a 23-year-old model who had been missing since June 14. An FIR had already been registered in the case. According to a Hindustan Times report, her throat was slit.
“We received information about the presence of a woman’s body in the canal. A police team reached the spot and initiated an investigation. During the identification process, it was found that a missing persons report for a woman named Sheetal had been filed in Panipat. Further action is being taken,” police officials said.
Before entering the Haryanvi music industry six months ago, Sheetal had worked at a hotel in Karnal.
Her sister, Neha, alleged that Sheetal had called her on the night of June 17 and said that her former friend, Sunil from Panipat, had arrived at her shooting venue and assaulted her.
The Sonipat Police are currently investigating the case. Sheetal’s family has alleged that she was murdered and did not die by accidental drowning.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
